Gratitude Blooming

Check out some ways to get started…

“I’D LIKE GRATITUDE TO BECOME A NATURAL AND AUTOMATIC RESPONSE, LIKE BREATHING. ”

“IT IS QUITE RARE FOR ME TO COMPLETELY LET GO AND BE VULNERABLE. THIS YEAR I’VE BEEN LEARNING ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING YOUR RAW SELF, EVEN WHEN IT’S DARK AND MESSY AND CHAOTIC.”
-NAYAD

What does the winter season make you notice in your life right now? Are there any themes? Do any words of gratitude arise for you from this drawing of the lilac branch?

“I JUST WALKED OUT AND TOOK A CLOSE LOOK AT MY WINTER GARDEN. THIS DOGWOOD TREE LOOKS VERY CALM, PEACEFUL AND BEAUTIFUL. ALTHOUGH NOTHING’S ON IT, NO LEAVES, NO FLOWERS, IT LOOKS ALIVE TOO IN A DIFFERENT WAY. I AM NOW IN A DIFFERENT STAGE OF MY LIFE AT THE BEGINING OF MY RETIREMENT. I CAN STILL BE STRONG AND LIVE A BEAUTIFUL LIFE WITHOUT THE FANCY JOB.”
– ANNE

See how we incorporate a gratitude practice into our meetings…

THE HIVEQUEST TEAM HAS BEGUN THE PRACTICE OF PULLING A GRATITUDE BLOOMING CARD TO START EACH WEEKLY TEAM VIDEO MEETING.

The HiveQuest team story

Each week a different team member pulls a card, collecting energy from the rest of the team to guide their choice. They show the card to the team and we take a moment to reflect on what messages that flower has to share.

We take a moment to allow each person to reflect on what the card says to them, and how it might connect to the work they are doing. Sometimes it resonates with the collective experience of the past week. Often it offers important guidance on how to approach the meeting. It helps us connect with each other at the start of each meeting, creates a space for a shared experience, and has often been quite enlightening in how it guides our process. We are grateful for these cards and the wisdom they bring!
